In this program, you will learn to apply economics to the analysis of resource allocation, productivity, investment, and trends in the agricultural sector, both domestically and internationally. You will study economics and related fields as well as how they apply to the business of agriculture. You will also study farm business management, micro and macroeconomics, finance, farm and ranch management, agricultural markets and prices, and money and banking. You will learn to make the best decisions about agricultural economics for agribusiness firms.
Degrees Available
- A certificate program may qualify for jobs such as farm and seasonal labor manager and farm accounts manager.
- A bachelor's degree is usually required to enter occupations that involve agricultural economics and large farm financing, produce marketing, farm resources management, and farming technology.
- A graduate degree is usually required for administrative positions in business or for teaching agricultural subjects at universities.
