Architectural Drafting
Topics of Study
In this program, you will learn to apply technical skills to develop working drawings and electronic simulations for architectural and related construction projects. This program includes instruction in basic construction and structural design, architectural rendering, computer-aided drafting (CAD), layout and designs, architectural blueprint interpretation, building materials, and basic structural wiring diagramming.
Degrees Available
- Certificate or associate degree programs teach drafting in general and others teach drafting in a specific area, such as computer-aided, architectural, electrical, or mechanical.
- A bachelor's degree will include general education courses along with drafting and design courses.
- Graduates will qualify for technician positions in avionics, robotics, architectural, and civil engineering fields.
