In this program, you will learn how to plan, manage, and analyze the financial and monetary aspects and performance of business enterprises, bank institutions, or other financial organizations. You will study principles of accounting, financial instruments, capital planning, and funds acquisition. You will also learn about asset and debt management, budgeting, financial analysis, and investments and portfolio management. Many schools expect a field study or business project as a requirement for graduation.
Degrees Available
- A bachelor's degree in finance qualifies for many jobs in fields such as insurance, banking, credit, lending, or government.
- Many people return to school to obtain a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
- A graduate degree is helpful for advancement and college teaching.
