Topics of Study
In this program, you will learn about the duties of administrative assistants and/or secretaries and stenographers. You will study business communications, principles of business law, word processing and data entry, office machines operation and maintenance, office procedures, public relations, secretarial accounting, filing systems and records management. You will also learn human relations skills. Later, you may specialize in a particular office setting, such as legal, medical, or executive services.
Degrees Available
- A certificate or an associate degree qualifies you for a variety of secretarial or administrative assistant positions within business, industry, communications, government, law, medicine, and education.
- A bachelor's degree is useful for management and for high-level secretarial positions.
