Topics of Study
In this program, you will focus on computers, computing problems and solutions, and the design of computer systems and user interfaces from a scientific point of view. You will study the principles of computational science, computing theory; computer hardware design; computer development and programming; and applications to a variety of end-use situations.
Degrees Available
- A certificate or an associate's degree from a career-technical school or two-year college will qualify for entry-level jobs in support of computer designers and engineers.
- A bachelor's degree may prepare individuals for positions in many corporate, private, and government areas.
- A graduate degree will provide specialized knowledge or training in management, and is usually required to teach in this field.
- Graduates in this major will find work in science, education, and technology, as well as in business and government.
