Topics of Study

This broad major will orient you to visual arts as a whole. You will study different subjects which may prepare you to be an artist. You will study the history of art, and develop the skills to analyze and interpret them. You will receive instruction in the fine arts media, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. You will receive instruction in modern media, such as ceramics, textiles and digital images. You will also study the theory of art, color, composition and perspective, techniques, and art portfolio marketing, to name a few.
